This song is long overdue it’s moment in the sun. It’s one of the first few songs that we wrote together, but it took us until now to gather up the courage to see it through as a recorded document. In part this newfound courage is due to our total trust in Jon Evans and the fluid kind of process we always have in the studio with him, and in part, we just couldn’t let a song about hiccups dog us any longer!

Yes, it’s about hiccups. There aren’t nearly enough songs in the hiccup category. Some of you will recognize the mark of influence from our associations with Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, who, despite the heavy and mysterious intentions of the music, could never resist a good “la la la” vocal. Others of you might piccup on some mathematically derived Fred Frithian licks. And still others of you will recognize our favorite instrument of ominousness - The Bass Harmonica.
